BARREL-AGED GOLDEN BARLEYWINE ALE

Double Barrel 17th Anniversary Barleywine Ale is aged in Heaven Hill® bourbon barrels for 10 months then re-barreled into Woodford Reserve barrels for an additional 6 months of aging. Each sip is more special than its last.

Down & Dirty: Maris Otter and Low Color Maris Otter malts with Columbus and US Goldings hops. 

ABV: 17.1%
IBU: 25
Color: Clear brown
Aroma: Rich caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, and maple syrup notes, accompanied by strong whiskey character. Layers of dried fruit emerge alongside subtle cherry and oak.
Flavor: No saltiness, mild sweetness, no sourness and slightly bitter. Medium body, alcohol, not spicy, a little carbonation, no astringency and mildly mouthwatering.
