SEASONAL PACKAGING OPERATOR

We are currently hiring for seasonal help in the packaging department, located at our production facility at 4700 9th Ave. NW. Primary responsibilities include keg cleaning and filling, operational support on canning and bottling lines (case packing, palletizing, etc.), and assistance with equipment maintenance and cleaning. Approximate job length is up to 16 weeks. Hours averaging up to 30-40 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Lifting heavy materials (up to 160 pounds)
  • Routine pushing, pulling, climbing, etc.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Flexibility in scheduling. Position will require first, second shifts and weekends.

Beer Manager

We currently have a full-time position for a Beer Manager located at our main facility in Ballard.  The Beer Manager is a leader, responsible for overseeing the production of beer and the people producing it. Additionally, the Beer Manager is responsible for continuous improvement in all aspects of the Brewing Department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the highest quality beer is being created in the facility while balancing production goals
  • Manages brewing and cellaring staff
  • Creates and maintains the brewery production schedule
  • Ensures accurate collection of brewing and fermentation data
  • Optimizes process improvements and initiatives
  • Defines and maintain brewery cleaning and maintenance schedules
  • Maintains and improves all QA/QC standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in a production brewery
  • 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory position
  • Formal brewing education preferred
  • Must possess a positive, can-do mentality
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to positively engage with others
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve on the fly
  • Technical experience with brewing equipment strongly preferred
  • An obsessive dedication to quality and detail
  • High ability to multi-task
  • Ability to effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Desire to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • A love of beer and working in a fun team-oriented environment
  • A great sense of humor and the ability to laugh at oneself

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
  • Ability to move heavy materials (lifting to 50 lbs, moving up to 160 lbs)

  • Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, bending
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
